Donovan was a promising, popular teen who wanted to play college football. He and four other teens were driving home from a movie theater when the 17-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle. Donovan passed away in the ensuing crash; the other four teens survived. In this video, Donovan’s friends talk about the crash that took his life and the importance of safe teen driving.
Donovan’s mother, Martha, joined the HEARTS Network and shares her story through HEARTS and California-based Impact Teen Drivers, which is led by California Teen Safe Driving Coalition leader Dr. Kelly Browning.
