Regardless of the amount of years you’ve been a licensed driver, driving alongside a semi-truck on the freeway is an uncomfortable experience. Sharing the road with big trucks is common, and if the proper precautions aren’t taken, drivers can lose their lives.

We all know talking on a cell phone and texting while driving – using a handheld or hands-free device – are dangerous. But distracted driving includes other things too, such as reaching for drinks, eating or tuning the radio.

The days and weeks surrounding the holidays are busy, especially on our roadways. All that traffic leads to an increase in crashes. Sadly, the National Safety Council estimates there will be 261 deaths in traffic crashes during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday periods.
